Thank you for your interest in the PGA TOUR. All applications will be reviewed to see if they meet the PGA TOUR’s media accreditation requirements. Due to the significant increase in the number of applications, email responses will ONLY be sent to approved media outlets with the authorization to log in.
Examples of media outlets that qualify for accreditation:
- Members of the press employed by newspapers, golf/sports publications and websites, wire services and radio and television stations that regularly cover professional golf as determined by the PGA TOUR at its sole discretion.
- Digital sites with editorial content updated at least three times per week and contain 60 percent original news coverage, commentary or analysis.
Examples of outlets that do not qualify for accreditation:
- Private/freelance photographers and independent journalists not on assignment for a recognized news agency (journalists on assignment for an accredited media outlet must have an assignment editor submit the credential application).
- Independent podcasts not affiliated with a media company that have less than 5K verified subscribers/followers and do not have the participation of PGA TOUR players on their show.
- Digital outlets of a commercial nature that focus on sales and marketing (e.g. selling of golf equipment, apparel or other targeted merchandise).
- Production companies, content collection companies and documentary film crews (unless authorized by our media rights team through an approved filming agreement).
This website is used for processing PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions applications only. Requests for accreditation for the major championships should be sent through the appropriate golf organizations that manage those events.
